Police officers and representatives from the Child Advocacy Center of the Finger Lakes are working together on a Christmas toy drive that includes a Dec. 3 event at the public safety building. The drive starts this week at drop-off locations in Geneva.
The drive is starting this week with drop-off locations in three local businesses: Club 86 Bagels & Cakes, 476 Hamilton St.; Century 21 Steve Davoli Real Estate, 156 Castle St.; and Ashley Furniture Homestore, 258 Exchange St. Those wishing to donate to the cause can take a new, unwrapped toy to those spots.
People can also take new toys to a “fill the cruiser” event on Saturday, Dec. 3, at the public safety building, 255 Exchange St. It is scheduled from 10 a.m. to noon and will include refreshments including hot chocolate and doughnuts, carolers and a visit by Santa Claus.
