POSTPONED -- Interdisciplinary Work With Trauma

  • Child Advocacy Center of the Finger Lakes - Main Office 482 North Main Street Canandaigua, NY, 14424 United States (map)

THIS TRAINING HAS BEEN POSTPONED

After the discovery of child abuse or neglect, many survivors and their family members are given recommendations for multiple services. While well-intentioned, this onslaught on services can lead to overlapping services, hours of appointments each week, contradictory messaging and expectations, and even missed opportunities when one provider assumes another is doing something. This workshop is intended to identify ways that members of a multidisciplinary team can work in an efficient manner in their role while effectively collaboratively towards the common goal. Strategies on establishing clear expectations and ensuring ongoing communication throughout service provision will be discussed, along with managing conflict and disagreement between providers.

Presented by Dr. Doyle Pruitt and Ashley Davoli
